| Otter Creek Reservoir - Located in Otter Creek State Park. Rainbows, Cut throats and Brown Trout can be found here. Thi resevoir has some very big trout. Anywhere from 16" to 22" is the norm in the 2 - 3 lb range. The Reservoir sits at an elevation of 6400' and the surface area spans approximately 2500 surface acres. This location offers excellent float tube fishing, a boat ramp and over 20 campsites. |
| Piute Reservoir is located in Piute County on US Hwy 89. Piute Reservoir sits at an elevation of 6000' with a surface area of approximately 2500 acres. Piute is home to some fine Rainbow trout fishing, but the occasional Brown trout is not rare. The Rainbows in this area run between 16" to 20" in length and 2 to 3 lbs in weight, but you can expect bigger. This is my favorite lower elevation Stillwate fishing spot. I have had great success here float tubing while stripping a Woolly Bugger or Sculpin Imitation. Try your hand with a crayfish imitation and hang on. Piute State Park offers primitive camping and a boat ramp. Piute also has a good size population of small mouth bass, they will absolutely attack a bugger and put up a fight you won’t believe. | ![]() |
